Additional Testimonials
I have been taking classes with Español Andes Santiago for eight months twice a week, with two different teachers. The classes are private and intensive, and the teachers are very nice, professional and devoted to teach you Spanish. During classes the teachers combine dialog and correction with small written assignments, and grammar explained in a light and understandable way.
Today I am much more confident with my Spanish; I now manage the daily written and spoken communication in Spanish, which I need for living in Chile – and all without taking painful grammar lessons or long days in a class room.

You can have someone teach you the rules of football, but that doesn’t mean you know how to play – you can only get that from experience. For me, learning a language is similar. You can’t get that experience just from a book or being forced to only communicate in a language you are still struggling to understand. You need to know the what, the how, the when, and the why. That is - the real life experience. You need tools, tips, tricks and methodologies that give you the understanding to communicate quickly and efficiently -and that´s primarily verbal communication.
Andes Santiago offers one-on-one instruction, relevant exercises (not the ones about some random historical event that you have never heard of), a personalized blog and tips/tricks that actually get you speaking Spanish in all types of situations.

I moved 2.5 months ago to Santiago and didn’t have any knowledge of Spanish language.
Thanks to the practical approach of Andes Santiago, I’m already able to communicate in Spanish in everyday situations! My Spanish lessons with Marcelo and his colleague have been very efficient and full of interesting conversations in Spanish. Andes Santiago also places a great value on learning the Spanish grammar easily by means of useful tips and mnemonics. I’m confident that with the help of Andes Santiago I will soon be able to work in Spanish.

I have used the Spanish language teaching services of Andes Santiago. My objectives as a student of Andes Santiago have been to develop my conversational Spanish to a level of fluency in both professional and social situations, gain a comprehensive understanding of Spanish grammar in particular where it differs from English and other European languages, and adapt my academic Spanish to the highly localized and often idiosyncratic dialect spoken in Chile.
My teacher’s approach has been to make the transition from textbook to practice using a number of interactive and technological tools. Firstly, he supports his students through a technological platform which allows information to flow freely between the student and teacher and enables continuous communication between both parties. Secondly, he specializes in identifying words, phrases and ideas which fall outside the textbook or classroom but which are ever present in conversation, discourse or debate at the level of individuals, the community, the media or society. These ‘tips’ both bridge the gap between textbook and reality and animate the classes with all that is colloquial and colorful in the Spanish language.
My teacher in Andes Santiago is also very well informed, well travelled and well read with a witty, interesting and engaging personality, allowing participants in the class to benefit from an intelligent and intellectual exchange of views which brings out the best in both cultures. He and the school come highly recommended and I would be available to provide personal references if required.

I have been a student of Español Andes Santiago for about 9 months and I enjoy my classes immensely! Marcelo and his team of professors create a personalized curriculum and adjust it as my language skills improve. My classes are diverse – conversational practice, reading current articles, learning key phrases, and of course, grammar.
When I arrived in Santiago, I spoke “vacation Spanish” (ordering beers, asking where the bathroom is, etc). Now, I have confidence to begin conversations and speak with whomever I encounter. My quality of life has greatly improved!
